Terms

The PURPLE
/ Junior
service is subject to the terms and conditions set
out below, which you should read before you use the service.

We try hard to answer legal enquiries that you put to us over the helpline.
Obviously we are making no charge for the answers that we give, and we are
basing our answers solely on the brief information that you have given to us
over the phone rather than us having sight of all information and documents. For
both of these reasons, you cannot formally rely on the answers that we give to
you. If you would prefer formal legal advice on which you can rely and in
respect of which you could bring a legal claim against us if our advice is
wrong, then you should ask us to prepare a more formal advice to you, agree a
fee with us for that work, and you should then provide us with all details and
documents. We will then prepare an advice for you that you can legally rely on. |

In our experience, most enquiries take just 5 – 10 minutes to answer. Under the
PURPLE
/ Junior
scheme, your legal team will actually give you 15
minutes free time on a particular enquiry which should be more then enough. If
your problem is more complicated, we can extend that. We will tell you when free
time has been used up and may explain that further time on that issue may only
be available if we charge you. However, you will never get any surprise bills.
You will only be liable for any fees if you agree these in advance. |

We are entitled to decline to act against another party for professional or
commercial reasons. If we have advised you or acted for you, it does not follow
that we cannot act against you. |

If you formally instruct Darbys Solicitors LLP, Darbys’ standard Terms and
Conditions will apply and these will be sent to you at the outset of each piece
of work. |
